OpenMG Secure Module is a system component developed by Sony Corporation to enable secure playback, management, and transfer of protected digital audio. Used primarily with Sony’s SonicStage and earlier OpenMG Jukebox software, it implements Sony’s OpenMG digital rights management (DRM) to safeguard licensed content and enforce usage rules.

In some configurations, it also installs a browser component to handle secure license delivery from online music services. OpenMG Secure Module runs in the background as part of the Sony audio ecosystem and is not designed for direct user interaction.
